Like so many of us, I grew up embracing the typical Aussie lifestyle— backyard barbies on sunny weekends, riding our bikes through the neighbourhood, and the convenience of modern living. But being born and bred here to a large, loud Greek family, my world had a second heartbeat: the Kouzina (kitchen).

For my family, food wasn't just fuel; it was our love language. My earliest memories are of my Yiayia Eleni's (Grandmothers) kitchen, watching her hands move with practiced skill, turning simple, fresh ingredients into feasts that brought the whole family together. As I grew up and started my own family here in Australia, I tried to balance those Greek traditions with modern life. I never questioned the kitchenware I bought and used to feed my young kids.
